Sunday, September 12, 2021 – Passport to the Arts in the Garden

The Magpie Series are mixed media artworks combining monoprinting, silk screen, stamp printing and acrylic painting. The series was on display in the garage gallery.

Hand made art cards by Irene Naested, from her mixed-media paintings were on sale at the show.

Gate prizes were provided by the 14 artists and authors. Painting by Connie Ptasinski; painting by Irene Naested; pottery by Wendy McIver and painting by Tammy Watt.

Books donated by Joanne Morcom; handmade cards made by Sharon London; book by Margot McKinnon, walking books by David Peyto; books by Stephanie Hrehirchuk. All of these items were provided as additional gate prizes for the show.

Five $20 vouchers from Destination Art, a sculpture by Gordon Pengilly and a large Christmas stocking provided by Donna Russell were provided as additional gate prizes for the show, totalling 20 gate prizes in all, for guests at the Art Show and Sale.

Unfortunately, The Fragments were unable to make their scheduled appearance at the Art Show & Sale this year. They were sadly missed as they a bring creative energy to the show. The four visual artists, Corinne Keough, Irene Naested, Connie Ptasinski and Tammy Watt, displayed their visual reinterpretations of songs by The Fragments while at the Show and Sale.

Irene was delighted to meet more art patrons of her work at this year’s Show & Sale.
