Weyman Chan is a Canadian poet born in Calgary, Alberta, best known for his award-winning and nationally recognized works that often explore themes of identity, displacement, and belonging.
Chan’s writing reflects his Chinese Canadian heritage and frequently draws on personal experiences and cultural themes. His poetry is published in numerous literary journals, and he has been recognized with multiple awards, including the 2021 Latner Writers’ Trust Poetry Prize.
He continues to live in Calgary and work both as a poet and short story writer.
