Once this virus has been sorted out it should be a time for our governments to realize the importance of the arts to the GNP. The closure of art shows, arts classes, music concerts, poetry reading, library, sports, recreation facilities, tourism, etc. will have a great down turn on the economy. In Alberta we must come to realize that we are not a one industry economy. We need to diversify and put energy into our arts economy. (as well as health and education) In many countries in the world, for example Denmark,( which are not rich in natural resources) put their efforts into a well educated healthy population. Their people are their natural resources. Hopefully we will make the same efforts in the future when we get back to a new normal.
