Nancy Roberts, sculptor…As Picasso once said
“I am always doing what I cannot do in order that I may learn how to do it.”
This is a good description of how Nancy approaches her artwork.
She loves to explore and discover new materials and techniques
and combine them with fount objects and materials that catch her interest.
She is attracted to tactile materials such as clay, wood, stones, textiles,
and more recently — glass. She now transforms the clay figurative work into a cast glass figure
with the seductive qualities of transparency and reflected light.
