A couple weekends ago, on June 23rd, Mary V invited five poets to read at Fish Creek Park under the Poet Tree. The event was called “Poetic Narratives in the Park”. The event was well attended and such a beautiful, sunny day. Each poet read from their works of both published and unpublished materials.
It really was a lovely event. I found myself captivated by the poetry. Hearing the spoken aloud always seems to add a richness and depth to the poetry. Thank you, Mary for arranging this engaging and enjoyable event. The setting was perfect!
